        • Please join Quentin Harris, Senior Financial Analyst of North American Property & Casualty Analytics, as he walks through a number of the headwinds and tailwinds that the industry has experienced over the past 12-24 months. Topics discussed will include the increased frequency and severity of secondary perils, reinsurance pricing and capacity trends, economic headwinds such as inflation as well as how companies are reacting to these market pressures.         • Young agents often find it difficult to differentiate themselves in their marketplace.  In this presentation I will use real-world brand examples to explain how different businesses stand out from their competitors.  We’ll then discuss how Independent Agents can use similar tactics to be different from their peers.  This is a fun and engaging discussion for agents of all ages.

    • "Decoding AM Best Ratings: An Insider’s Guide for Insurance Professionals" by Quentin Harris

        • Ever wonder how AM Best determines carrier ratings?  In this session, Quentin Harris, Senior Financial Analyst from AM Best, will provide a walkthrough of AM Best's rating process, clarifying its evaluation methods and criteria. He will detail the interactive nature of AM Best’s ratings as well as highlight the various assessment categories, including balance sheet, operating performance, business profile and enterprise risk management.

      • This topic is all about sales psychology.  Many young agents are taught about insurance products but have no idea how to sell them.  We’ll discuss tactics used by an ex-FBI hostage negotiator to gain the upper hand in a sales negotiation.   These tactics include the concept of mirroring, labeling, and getting to NO. They will leave understanding that NO is more powerful than YES.
